Who Is At Risk?
Signs and symptoms
- chronic, loud snoring
- gasping or choking episodes during sleep
- excessive daytime sleepiness
- auto or work related injuries due to fatigue
- obesity, especially neck size >17 in men and >16 in women
- high blood pressure (or on meds for)
- narrowing of nasal or throat passages
- enlarged tongue (scalloped)
- high palate or malocclusion
- depression
- enlarged tonsils or adenoids
- CHILDREN as well as adults!
- any 2 or more of these is usually an indication for having a sleep study done
