Signs and symptoms

  • chronic, loud snoring
  • gasping or choking episodes during sleep
  • excessive daytime sleepiness
  • auto or work related injuries due to fatigue
  • obesity, especially neck size >17 in men and >16 in women
  • high blood pressure (or on meds for)
  • narrowing of nasal or throat passages
  • enlarged tongue (scalloped)
  • high palate or malocclusion
  • depression
  • enlarged tonsils or adenoids
  • CHILDREN as well as adults!
  • any 2 or more of these is usually an indication for having a sleep study done
